Coffee prices rise globally amid weather concerns in Brazil and Vietnam

Coffee prices are experiencing upward movement on international exchanges, driven by weather concerns in Brazil and Vietnam. In London, Robusta futures have seen significant increases, with some contracts rising over 2% as markets monitor rainfall patterns and supply stability. In New York, Arabica prices have also trended higher due to concerns regarding El Nino-related rainfall in Brazil affecting crop quality.

In Vietnam, domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands have remained relatively stable, hovering around 93,400 to 94,000 VND/kg. While the new harvest season has begun, the supply of Robusta is not yet abundant as the peak harvest typically occurs in November and December. Traders are maintaining a cautious stance as they await more significant supply from the new crop.

Despite recent gains, long-term price outlooks remain mixed. Some analysts, including those from Rabobank, suggest that potential increases in global supply could exert downward pressure on prices in the coming months.
