Italy school infrastructure: major upgrades and funding across several municipalities

Various Italian municipalities are implementing significant infrastructure upgrades for educational facilities. In Marsala, over 170,000 euros in regional funding will be used to renovate school cafeterias in four locations, focusing on hygiene, safety, and climate control.

In Castagneto Carducci, a new nursery school has been inaugurated following a 900,000 euro redevelopment project supported by the Tuscany Region. The facility emphasizes energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Similarly, in Giano dell’Umbria, a 2.3 million euro project funded largely by the PNRR has resulted in a new gymnasium and cafeteria spaces at the Bastardo school complex.

In Ascoli Piceno, the seismic retrofitting of the Ipsia ‘G. Sacconi’ institute has reached full funding, with a total investment of 3.44 million euros secured to ensure student safety. Additionally, Dugenta has inaugurated a new school parking area and cafeteria facilities to improve student safety and service functionality.
