Heart Band Nears Release of First Album in a Decade

Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson told Gold Derby that the band’s new studio album is "almost finished" and that all recording work in Nashville is complete. The record will be the group’s first full‑length release since 2016’s Beautiful Broken and is slated to be delivered to a partner by the end of August. Wilson described the material as "really, really strong" and believes it will be a great album.

In addition to the album, Heart is preparing a biopic and a documentary film, while frontwoman Ann Wilson will issue her solo album Consecrated Ground on August 14 and embark on a world tour from September through November, including three shows in Japan. Wilson also hinted at possible casting ideas for the biopic, mentioning actresses such as Elle Fanning and Florence Pugh.
