The Rock in Rio 2026 festival has commenced in Brazil, featuring several British musical acts. The band Hot Milk made their Brazilian debut on the Sunset Stage, performing tracks such as ‘Swallow This’, ‘Horror Show’, and ‘Bloodstream’. During the set, vocalist Hannah Mee encouraged the audience to put away their mobile phones to focus on the moment.

London duo Nova Twins is scheduled to open the programming on the Mundo Stage. The group, consisting of Amy Love and Georgia South, is known for a sound blending punk, grime, and alternative rock. Their performance follows a recent Grammy nomination for ‘Antagonist’. The festival lineup for the opening day also includes The Hives, Rise Against, and Foo Fighters.
