Rock in Rio 2026 details released for Rio de Janeiro festival

Rock in Rio 2026 is scheduled to take place from September 4 to 13 at the Cidade do Rock in Rio de Janeiro. The festival features a diverse musical lineup including Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Gun Kelly, Calvin Harris, and Black Eyed Peas, spanning genres from rock and metal to pop and K-pop.

Major sponsors are preparing extensive operations for the event. Heineken plans to supply over 700,000 liters of beer through various stations and mobile backpackers. Itaú, celebrating 25 years of partnership, will introduce the ‘Listening Club’ in the VIP area. Additionally, Spotify has launched a digital tool allowing fans to discover their musical compatibility with the festival lineup.

Logistical preparations include specialized transport options such as BRT, MetroRio, and executive bus services to manage the influx of attendees. The festival also includes community initiatives like the JUV in Rio hackathon, which connects innovation to the event by inviting young people to develop creative projects.
