Rockstar Games launches GTA VI marketing with Miami sign and $400 merchandise
Rockstar Games has launched an ambitious marketing campaign for Grand Theft Auto VI, featuring both large-scale physical installations and high-end merchandise. In Miami, the company has paid approximately $975,000 to install a massive “Welcome to Vice City” sign on the roof of the Kaseya Center. The installation, designed to be visible from the air, is part of a broader effort to transform the city's atmosphere to mirror the game's fictional setting, Leonida.
Simultaneously, Rockstar has opened pre-orders for “The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection,” a premium collector's box priced at $399.99. The collection includes eleven items such as an Oakley Frogskins sunglasses set, a New Era 9FORTY cap, a Macca the Gator figure, and various other themed accessories. Notably, the package does not include a copy of the game itself, either physical or digital, which has sparked significant controversy and criticism among fans regarding the high cost of the merchandise relative to its contents.
