Rocky Robinson targets 400 mph motorcycle speed record in Bolivia

Rocky Robinson, the current world motorcycle speed record holder, aims to become the first rider to officially exceed 400 mph (643.7 km/h). Alongside designer and team leader Mike Akatiff, Robinson will attempt this feat using the Ack Attack motorcycle at the Bolivia Speed Trials.

The event is scheduled to take place from October 22 to 27, 2026, on the Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat. The trial will utilize a 30-kilometer track situated at an altitude of approximately 3,600 meters.

Robinson has held the absolute speed record since 2010, when he reached 605.697 km/h at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. His previous record-breaking attempts include speeds of 551.7 km/h in 2006 and 564.7 km/h in 2008. The current record remains officially recognized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM).
