Roger Federer Returns to Croatia's Mali Lošinj for Summer Vacation

Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer, aged 44, spent his summer holiday on the Croatian island of Mali Lošinj. He and his wife Mirka arrived on a luxury yacht and stayed in a villa in the Čikat bay. The couple dined at the Michelin‑recommended Matsunoki restaurant in the Bellevue Hotel, where they were welcomed by the staff.

Federer said his long‑time friend and former coach Ivan Ljubičić first introduced him to the island and has been the main reason for his repeated visits. Their professional partnership ran from 2016 until the end of Federer’s career in 2022, during which he added three Grand Slam titles and reclaimed the world No. 1 ranking. The friendship has since become a personal bond, and Federer now regards Mali Lošinj as a cherished retreat.
