Roger Federer visits Sicily and Pontine coast during Italian vacation
Former tennis champion Roger Federer is spending his August vacation in Italy, drawing significant local attention during his stay in Sicily and the Pontine coast.
In Taormina, Federer has been seen playing on the clay courts of the Taormina Sporting Club. During his visit, he participated in informal matches with his host, LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, and local sports official Mario Quattrocchi. To honor his presence, the local football club, Taormina FC, presented the 20-time Grand Slam winner with a team jersey, an event the club described as an “indescribable emotion.”
Federer was also spotted in other Italian locations, including the island of Ponza and the coastal areas between Terracina and San Felice Circeo. In the Pontine area, he played a doubles match at a local club alongside his family, engaging with fans and local tennis coaches.
