Roma Capitale and Anci Lazio partner to secure European funding
The administration of Roma Capitale has approved a memorandum of understanding with Anci Lazio to enhance the city's ability to access European, national, and local funding. The agreement aims to improve the design of interventions and strengthen Rome's role in European development policies.
The protocol includes technical assistance and specialized training for municipal officials to better navigate complex international tenders. Key strategic sectors for these investments include urban regeneration, sustainable mobility, ecological and digital transitions, and social inclusion.
A Coordination Table for European Policies will be established to define project priorities, program interventions, and monitor results. The agreement, which carries no direct financial burden for the administration, is set to remain in effect until December 31, 2027. The initiative also seeks to position Rome more effectively within European decision-making processes, particularly regarding the 2028-2034 Multiannual Financial Framework.
