Roman Reigns Fronts WWE Survivor Series Promotion and Mexico City Title Challenger Tournament

WWE has placed Roman Reigns at the center of its upcoming premium live events. A poster for Survivor Series 2026, scheduled for November 28 at Daikin Park in Houston, features only Reigns, confirming his role as the primary draw for the show. The company also announced a crossover tournament with AAA to determine Reigns' next World Heavyweight Championship challenger for the September 14 Raw episode in Mexico City’s Arena CDMX. The eight‑man field includes Penta, Laredo Kid, Psycho Clown, La Parka, Dragon Lee, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Fénix and El Fiscal, with first‑round matches set for Raw on August 10 and August 17 and an AAA bout on August 15. Reigns entered the storyline after retaining his title against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam and is also slated for Money in the Bank on October 10, where a potential challenger such as LA Knight may emerge. Commentary from veteran Eric Bischoff warned that over‑extending the Bloodline storyline could backfire, while AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio highlighted the importance of lucha libre in the upcoming Mexico City defense.
