Romania completes key PNRR infrastructure projects in Cluj and Buziaș

Environment Minister Diana Buzoianu visited Cluj‑Napoca to inspect five PNRR‑funded water and sewer expansion projects worth over 27 million lei, noting that the works are near completion and that the county received more than 10.7 million lei for re‑forestation, bringing the national total to 19 000 ha of newly planted forest, exceeding the EU target.

Mayor Sorin Munteanu of Buziaș reported that the town has finished all five PNRR contracts on schedule, investing €3.65 million in thermal retrofits of a dispensary, a kindergarten and a school, a city‑wide surveillance system and the purchase of three electric minibuses for local transport.
