Romania disburses over 232 million lei in social assistance and agricultural diesel subsidies in 2026

The County Agency for Payments and Social Inspection in Dolj (AJPIS Dolj) transferred more than 77.23 million lei in July 2026 to fund a range of social assistance benefits. Payments covered child allowances for 104,565 recipients, child‑rearing allowances, disability benefits, HIV/TB support, minimum income inclusion, and heating subsidies for vulnerable households.

The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) began the first‑quarter 2026 diesel subsidy programme, allocating over 155.2 million lei to 9,863 farmers. The aid reimburses 2.697 lei per litre of diesel used, with the bulk of funds directed to the plant sector (133 million lei for more than 49 million litres), followed by livestock and land‑improvement sectors.
