Romania expands childcare infrastructure in Satu Mare and Sibiu
Romania is expanding its childcare infrastructure through significant investments in new nursery facilities in Satu Mare and Sibiu.
In Satu Mare, construction is underway for a modern nursery on Bulevardul Lalelei. The project, costing approximately 11.3 million lei, is funded by the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration via the National Investment Company (CNI). Once completed, the 1,342-square-meter facility will provide 40 places for preschool-aged children across four groups, serving the Micro 14, Micro 15, and Micro 16 neighborhoods.
In Sibiu, a new nursery facility on Viitorului Street has been completed. This 27.3 million lei investment, funded through the National Investment Company with European funds via the PNRR and co-financing from the Ministry of Development, provides 110 places for children up to age three. The nearly 3,000-square-meter building includes 11 classrooms, 11 bedrooms, six playrooms, and specialized medical and administrative spaces.
