Romania expands PNRR‑funded crèches in Bucharest and Uricani

Interim Prime Minister Marcel Bolojan inaugurated crèche No. 96 in Bucharest, built with European Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) funds. He said the project aims to reach 100 new crèches to support young families moving to large cities and peri‑urban areas, and announced that a memorandum to approve staffing positions will be signed within two weeks.

Minister of Development Attila Cseke inaugurated crèche No. 98 in Uricani, Hunedoara County, also financed through the PNRR under the "Sfânta Ana" programme. The facility can accommodate 40 children, includes accessibility features, solar panels and green spaces, and was built at a cost of just over 12 million lei. Local officials highlighted the modernised educational infrastructure funded by EU resources.
