Truck accident on DN7 near Olt River cleared, traffic resumes in Romania

A heavy truck left the road and fell into the Olt River at kilometre 203+950 on DN7 between Căciulata and Brezoi. The driver escaped without injuries. Authorities closed the road from 03:45 to allow recovery operations; the vehicle was removed and traffic reopened at 06:30.

Later the same day, the temporary traffic restrictions imposed around the Râul Vadului viaduct on the Valea Oltului segment of DN7 were lifted at 18:00. Officials urged drivers to respect remaining signage and drive cautiously as normal flow resumes on one of Romania’s main north‑south arteries.
