Romania extends SME Eco-Tech grant deadline to December 2026

The Romanian Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism has extended the application deadline for the SME Eco-Tech program until December 30, 2026, at 20:00. The program is designed to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in commerce, services, and production by facilitating investments in modernization, digitalization, and environmentally friendly technologies.

Under the scheme, eligible companies can receive a non-reimbursable grant of up to 267,240 RON, which covers a maximum of 40% of the total investment. The remaining 60% or more must be financed through a bank loan from a partner institution. To qualify, a project must have a minimum value of 668,100 RON, and at least 40% of eligible expenses must be directed toward green or digital equipment.

The program operates with a total budget of approximately 288.84 million RON (equivalent to 54 million Swiss francs), funded through the Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Program. The Swiss Confederation provides 70% of this total budget.
