Romania fuel prices remain stable amid long-term increases

Fuel prices in Romania remained stable between October 19 and October 20, 2026, though they remain significantly higher than levels recorded in late June. National averages for standard gasoline are approximately 10.10 lei per liter, while standard diesel averages 10.90 lei per liter. LPG averages 4.71 lei per liter.

Comparing current rates to June 30, 2026, gasoline prices have increased by 16.6% (1.44 lei/liter) and diesel by 18.2% (1.68 lei/liter). LPG has seen a more modest increase of 3.5%.

The lowest recorded prices for gasoline and diesel were both found in Iernut, Mureș county, at a Petrolium station, with gasoline at 9.89 lei/liter and diesel at 10.69 lei/liter. In Bucharest, the lowest price for LPG was reported at 4.64 lei/liter, while the minimum gasoline price in the capital was 10.06 lei/liter in Sector 2.
