Romania hospital modernization: PNRR-funded facilities reach final stages

Several hospitals in Romania funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) are entering decisive stages of completion and operationalization. According to interim Health Minister Cseke Attila, one facility is already fully functional, while others are in the final phases of execution and reception.

Key updates include:

- Bistrița-Năsăud County Emergency Clinical Hospital: The new building is completed and received; digitalization and equipment delivery are expected by the end of the week. Rehabilitation of the old building is nearing completion. - Marius Nasta – Zerlendi Pneumophthisiology Institute: Final touches are underway with over 350 workers, with final reception estimated after August 25. - Cluj County Emergency Clinical Hospital: Procurement of furniture, beds, and medical equipment is being finalized, with reception procedures starting after August 13. - Craiova Military Emergency Hospital: The project is successfully completed and the pavilion is fully functional. - Sibiu Military Emergency Hospital: Investment is finished, with reception scheduled for next week. - Balotești Prof. Dr. Agrippa Ionescu Emergency Clinical Hospital: The new building has been received, and rehabilitation procedures for the existing building will begin after August 20. - Târgu-Mureș Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases and Transplantation: The investment is completed.
