Romania-India Economic Forum Launched in Argeș County, Romania
On 23 July 2026 the inaugural Romania‑India Economic Forum was held at the Hotel Ramada in Pitești, Argeș County. The event was organized by the regional development agency Argeș Invest, led by Senator Mihai Coteț, in partnership with the Embassy of India in Romania and Indigo Hub. About 30 Indian business representatives attended, meeting Romanian officials including Senator Coteț, Prefect Sebastian Nedelcu and leaders of the local Chamber of Commerce.
The forum aimed to deepen bilateral trade and investment across sectors such as automotive manufacturing, defence and dual‑use technologies, information technology, cyber‑security and AI, circular economy, textile tech, agri‑tech, e‑commerce, finance and health. It marked the first time Argeș hosted a high‑level economic diplomacy event of this scale, highlighting the region’s role in attracting foreign investment.
