Romania launches 43 million‑lei Tecuci hospital ambulatory project
The Galaţi County Council, via the Health Program, approved an investment of 43.3 million lei to build a new ambulatory (policlinic) for the Integrated Ambulatory of the Anton Cincu Municipal Hospital in Tecuci. The 2,700 sqm, P+1 building will include specialty departments such as pediatrics, surgery, cardiology, radiology, orthopedics on the ground floor and dermatology, endocrinology, internal medicine, ENT, obstetrics‑gynecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, psychiatry and neurology on the upper floor. It will be equipped with more than 500 medical devices and feature green walls, roof gardens and renewable‑energy systems. The facility is intended to serve over 150,000 residents of Tecuci and surrounding communes. Construction is slated to start at the end of August‑early September and to be completed by the end of the following year. The project was presented by Costel Fotea, president of the Galaţi County Council and local PSD leader.
