Romania launches free pet sterilization and microchipping campaigns

Several regions in Romania are launching free sterilization and microchipping campaigns for pets to comply with national laws and manage animal populations.

In Cut, veterinarian Diana Roșiu will provide free sterilization for 40 female dogs and cats on September 18-19 using a mobile veterinary ambulance. Participation requires prior appointment.

In Ilfov County, the Animal Protection department has scheduled campaigns for September. Clinceni will host sessions on September 7 and 11, while Ciorogârla will hold sessions from September 7 to 25. These services include both sterilization and microchipping.

Additionally, ASPA Bucharest continues to run regular free sterilization and microchipping campaigns for pet owners in the capital to prevent unwanted breeding and assist in locating lost animals.
