Romania opens applications for 2026 IVF support program
Applications for the 2026 In Vitro Fertilization (FIV) Program in Romania opened on Monday, August 17, at 10:00. The social program, designed to support couples and single women in increasing the birth rate, runs from 2026 to 2030.
Beneficiaries receive a total of 15,000 lei in digital vouchers: 5,000 lei for medications and 10,000 lei for medical fertilization procedures. Applications must be submitted exclusively online via the dedicated platform up-comunitate.ro by November 15, 2026.
To be eligible, applicants must meet several criteria: at least one member of a couple (or the single woman) must be a Romanian citizen residing in Romania; applicants must be insured under the Romanian social health insurance system; and the medical procedures must be performed at an accredited partner health unit within the country. Additionally, the female applicant must be between 24 and 42 years of age at the time of application, a change from the previous age range of 20 to 45.
