Romania Opens New Skate Park in Craiova and Sports Complex in Brașov

The Municipality of Craiova inaugurated the Skate Park Craiova, the second phase of the Fantasy Park project. Located on Pașcani Street, the free‑access facility offers modern areas for skateboarding, rollerblading, BMX, MTB and non‑motorized scooters, with equipment rental available for users aged 12 and over. Safety rules require helmets, elbow and knee pads, and prohibit alcohol, motor vehicles and use in adverse weather.

In Brașov, the city council approved a partnership with the Ion Țiriac Foundation to build a new sports complex on the former Noua swimming pool site. The 14.5 million‑lei project will include an ice rink, judo and fencing halls, mini‑football and basketball courts, a multifunctional accessible field, playgrounds, running and cycling tracks, pedestrian paths, a landscaped watercourse and modern lighting and video surveillance. The complex is aimed at children up to 14, families and people with disabilities.
