Romania advances multiple PNRR‑funded school, cultural and urban infrastructure projects

Romanian local authorities are completing a series of projects financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). In Dumbrăvița, a new school building named “Regina Maria” is nearing completion with a €7 million investment. The Brebeni primary school received 743,393 lei for furniture, digital equipment and sports gear. Starmin Club SRL announced the closure of its digitalisation project for hospitality services, also funded by the PNRR. Oradea’s Gimnazială nr. 16 was modernised with a 19.6 million‑lei investment, including energy‑efficiency upgrades and new digital tools. Cernavodă launched a 1.63 million‑lei public tender to build a 1,596 m² parking facility. The historic Bulandra Theatre in Bucharest will undergo a 98.6 million‑lei seismic consolidation and modernisation. In the village of Teaca, the Francisc Păcurariu library was renovated and equipped with computers, 3‑D printer and smart boards. Finally, a €6.2 million EU‑backed scheme will regenerate the Micro 15 district of Satu Mare, adding green spaces, bike lanes and a modern parking complex. All projects aim to improve educational, cultural and urban infrastructure while meeting EU standards.
