Romania receives 301 million euros in suspended PNRR funds
Romania has received over 301 million euros from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), representing a previously suspended installment from the European Commission. Interim Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare stated that 298.6 million euros of this amount consist of non-reimbursable grants, while approximately 2.6 million euros are loans.
These funds are intended to assist in financing the budget deficit and managing State Treasury liquidity. With this latest payment, the total amount collected by Romania through the PNRR reaches approximately 13.27 billion euros. Nazare emphasized that the importance of the PNRR lies not only in the capital received but also in the implementation of structural reforms to improve administrative efficiency, economic productivity, and public finance sustainability.
