Romania records two serious road crashes injuring youths in Galați and Vaslui
On a Friday evening near Galați, a car carrying two 16‑year‑old minors and a 20‑year‑old driver left the road and fell into a 15‑metre ravine on the Brateș bypass. All three occupants were conscious, extracted by emergency crews within ten minutes and transported to hospital for treatment.
A day earlier in Vaslui County, a vehicle driven by a 63‑year‑old man lost control and collided violently with a bridge head near the village of Valea Târgului. Six people were injured, including three minors aged 10, 15 and 17, and were taken to the Vaslui County Emergency Hospital after on‑site care by multiple ambulances and a mobile intensive‑care unit.
Both incidents prompted rapid responses from local rescue services and sparked calls for improved road safety measures and infrastructure maintenance, particularly on winding or poorly marked sections of road.
