Bucharest industrial fire and Ukrainian infrastructure strikes trigger emergency responses

A large-scale fire broke out overnight in the Chitila area of Bucharest, Sector 1, affecting an industrial hall used for storage and repairs. The fire covered approximately 500 square meters and produced heavy smoke, prompting authorities to issue an RO-Alert to residents in the area. ISU București-Ilfov deployed approximately 20 specialized vehicles, including water and foam extinguishing units, to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. No casualties have been reported.

In a separate incident in the Kirovohrad region of Ukraine, a fire erupted following a Russian attack on an infrastructure target in the Kropivnițki district. The blaze also affected a residential house and dry vegetation. Emergency services reported that all fires in the area have since been extinguished, with no casualties reported from this strike.
