Romania to conduct MOBEX Bucharest-Ilfov military mobilization exercise

The Romanian Ministry of National Defence has announced the ‘MOBEX Bucharest – Ilfov 26’ exercise, scheduled to take place from October 5 to 12. The drill is designed to verify the defense preparedness of the population and evaluate the mobilization of human and material resources for national security structures.

During the exercise, selected reservists residing in Bucharest and Ilfov County will report to designated military units for one day of training. Call-up orders will be delivered by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Under Law no. 446/2006, reservists are legally obligated to participate in these evaluation exercises. Employers are also required to grant a one-day paid leave to participating employees upon presentation of military certification.

These MOBEX exercises are organized annually and can involve up to ten counties. This year's exercise will focus on military units that were not included in the previous MOBEX B-IF-25 drill. The Ministry emphasized that these activities are routine in nature and urged citizens to rely on official sources to avoid misinformation.
