Weather patterns shift across Romania and Moldova
Weather patterns in Romania and Moldova are undergoing significant shifts. In Romania, the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued alerts for atmospheric instability, including heavy rain, thunderstorms, and wind gusts reaching 40–60 km/h. Regions such as Dobrogea, Muntenia, and Oltenia are particularly affected by these storms and potential small hail. While a period of cooler, unstable weather is expected through mid-September, forecasts indicate a gradual warming trend. By the middle of the week, temperatures in southern and southeastern Romania are projected to rise, with some areas potentially reaching 30°C.
In Moldova, the weather is expected to be generally stable and warm. Following a cooler start to the week with some isolated light rain, temperatures are forecast to increase steadily, reaching highs between 24°C and 26°C by the end of the period. The conditions are expected to remain mostly sunny or partially cloudy with light to moderate winds.
