Romanian AJOFM agencies report 1,300 placements in Bistrița-Năsăud and new vacancies in Brăila

In the Bistrița‑Năsăud county, the local public employment office (AJOFM) recorded 1,319 people placed in jobs during the first five months of 2026 under the National Employment Programme. Women accounted for 664 of the placements. The largest age group was over 45 years (680 persons), followed by 25‑35 (226), under 25 (243) and 35‑45 (170). Most beneficiaries came from rural areas (757) and had secondary or post‑secondary education. Of the total placed, 940 were classified as hard‑to‑employ. By end‑May, AJOFM listed 3,690 registered unemployed persons, with an unemployment rate of 3.31%, down 0.12 points from the previous month.

In Brăila, AJOFM posted a comprehensive list of vacant jobs on 29 June 2026. The vacancies span a wide range of sectors and required education levels, from high‑school‑qualified sales agents and kitchen assistants to university‑educated legal advisors, engineers, electricians, medical specialists and various manual labour positions. Contracts include permanent, temporary and part‑time arrangements, all advertised as full‑time equivalents.
