Romanian and Moldovan Initiatives Boost AI Adoption for SMEs

Romania’s Business Forward programme, a partnership between Social Innovation Solutions and Raiffeisen Bank, offers free AI education, consultancy and up to 1 million lei in grants to small firms with revenues of €1‑5 million. Selected companies will receive training from the Harvard Business School AI Institute and the chance to present modernisation plans before a jury for funding.

In neighbouring Moldova, the Impact Days Moldova 2026 conference will take place on 5‑6 June in Chișinău. Organized by the Hub of Social Entrepreneurs and supported by the EU, UNDP and several partner nations, the two‑day event will focus on integrating artificial intelligence, strengthening cyber security, preventing burnout and fostering socially responsible business models. Speakers include AI specialists, corporate leaders and social‑entrepreneurship advocates, providing practical tools for teams to adapt to rapid technological change.
