Romanian Army launches record recruitment of 7,000 soldiers

Interim Defence Minister Radu Miruță announced on Facebook that the Romanian Army is opening almost 7,000 positions for soldiers, corporals and sergeants across all 38 counties – the highest number of new posts in the last decade. The hiring drive aims to complement a rapid modernisation programme for the armed forces.

Applicants must be aged 18‑45, have completed at least ten years of schooling and do not need prior military experience or a university degree. Those selected receive a stable salary from day one and medical care. As of 7 September, 6,763 new recruits have begun their service.
