The Romanian Army announced new recruitment campaigns for professional soldiers and non‑commissioned officers. The 8th Infantry Brigade "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" in Focșani opened 140 vacancies across five military units in Vrancea, Prahova and Vaslui, with contact details and required documentation listed for each location.

The 30th Mountain Hunters Battalion "Dragoslavele" in Câmpulung also called for candidates from 25 June to 17 July 2026. Net monthly salaries for professional soldiers range from 4,138 to 5,946 lei, potentially reaching about 6,000 lei depending on rank and seniority, plus equipment, meals, medical care and paid leave. Eligibility criteria are identical for both drives: Romanian citizenship, age 18‑45, at least ten years of schooling, a stable residence in Romania and medical fitness.
