Romanian basketball teams face key matchups in Europe and domestically

In European basketball competition, CSM Oradea is set to face Lokomotiv Plovdiv in Bulgaria for a FIBA Europe Cup match. Coached by Mikko Riipinen, Oradea enters the game with a strong recent record, including three consecutive wins across all competitions. The team's roster is bolstered by the return of Josh Jefferson, Tudor Fometescu, and Rolland Torok from medical issues.

Lokomotiv Plovdiv, coached by Asen Nikolov, will play in front of a home crowd for the first time in this European edition. The Bulgarian side recently returned to the top flight and has seen significant success in their domestic league following promotion.

Domestically in Romania, FC Argeș Basketball is returning to Pitești Arena to host SCM U Craiova in a Liga Națională match. Following a competitive recent outing against the national vice-champions, FC Argeș aims to leverage home support to continue their winning streak.
