Romanian police seize €150,000 stolen car in Vaslui and arrest Galaţi car‑wash employee
In Vaslui County, border police stopped a micro‑bus and a platform trailer near the Râşeşti crossing and discovered a 2023 luxury sedan valued at about €150,000. The vehicle had been listed by Czech authorities for confiscation on 12 July, and police have detained it while investigating concealment of a stolen car.
In Galaţi, a 21‑year‑old employee of an auto‑wash took a client’s car overnight without permission, drove it on the city ring road, lost control and crashed into a ditch. The suspect, who had no driving licence, was detained for 24 hours and faces charges of theft for use and driving without a licence. Police continue investigations into both incidents.
