Romanian border police seize Polish‑registered luxury cars and Iranian tractor worth over €250,000

Romanian border police, operating in joint patrols with Hungarian counterparts, identified and confiscated two luxury cars registered in Poland near the Satu Mare border. Both vehicles, valued at roughly €100,000 each, were flagged in the eDAC system as "wanted as evidence" by Polish authorities. The drivers, a 41‑year‑old and a 25‑year‑old Moldovan citizen, are now under criminal investigation.

In a separate operation in Teleorman County, the same Romanian border police, cooperating with local police, located an Iranian‑registered tractor valued at about €56,000. The tractor was listed in international databases as stolen and wanted for confiscation, and its driver is also being investigated for concealment of the vehicle.

All three vehicles were seized as part of a broader effort to combat cross‑border vehicle theft and illicit trafficking, highlighting the effectiveness of trans‑national policing cooperation.
