Romanian communes roll out local public service projects

The communal administration in Valu lui Traian continued its routine public‑space upkeep, carrying out cleaning, waste collection, road sweeping and green‑area maintenance to improve local living conditions. Officials urged residents to keep public areas tidy and said the work will persist under the commune’s ongoing maintenance programme.

In the nearby commune of Lumina, the local town hall partnered with the Biotest laboratory to offer a dedicated medical‑analysis centre at the permanent centre. Residents can obtain free or paid lab tests depending on whether they have a referral from a family doctor, with scheduled collection dates throughout June 2026.

Both initiatives aim to enhance community services and public health at the local level.
