Romanian Counties Ilfov and Galați Report Major Road Infrastructure Upgrades
Ilfov County President Hubert Thuma said the county is now linked to all high‑speed roads surrounding Bucharest after six years of investment. Completed and ongoing projects include the DJ100 Otopeni‑Tunari, DJ401A linking six southern localities, the DJ301 segment, the DJ101 Buftea‑Sitaru corridor to DN1A and DN1, the DJ602 Domnești corridor to the A0 ring, and the rehabilitation of bridges at Lipia‑Gruiu and Crețești.
Galați County President Costel Fotea announced that more than 86 % of the county’s road network has been modernised, citing the new ring road and upgrades to DN 25 as key improvements that enhance safety and economic access. He also highlighted parallel health‑care investments, such as modernising local hospitals and acquiring advanced medical equipment, funded largely by European Union resources.
