Romanian county hospitals add new doctors and address patient crowding

The Târgu Jiu County Emergency Hospital has hired two young physicians – Dr. Radu Pecingină, a cardiology specialist, and Dr. Diana Giongiu, a final‑year resident in anaesthesia and intensive care – to strengthen its cardiology and intensive‑care services.

The Ploiești County Emergency Hospital explained that temporary overcrowding at its Integrated Specialty Outpatient Clinic is caused by a high influx of patients from Prahova County and neighboring regions. Hospital officials say they are optimizing patient flows, expanding waiting‑area seating and have recently modernized the outpatient facilities to improve comfort and safety.
