Romanian cyber‑security firms win NATO contracts and post record revenues

BlueSpace Technology, a Romanian cyber‑security company, announced on Tuesday that it signed two contracts with NATO valued at a total of €19 million (about $21.7 million). The deals cover the supply of TEMPEST‑certified equipment for NATO information‑security structures and are expected to generate added value and high‑skill jobs in Romania. CEO Constantin Pintilie said the awards confirm “strict adherence to competition criteria, equal opportunity and performance‑based evaluation.” The contracts follow seven previous orders for similar equipment worth roughly €400 000.

Bitdefender reported that its Romanian operations generated 2.024 billion lei in revenue for 2025, a 10 % increase year‑on‑year, with profit of 217.6 million lei, down 9 % from 2024. The company employed an average of 1,665 staff, up by 15 people, but announced planned reductions affecting 125 employees in its Business Solutions Group. Bitdefender reiterated that Romania remains a "central pillar" of its global R&D and operations.
