Romania and Moldova employment agencies report thousands of job vacancies

The National Agency for Employment (ANOFM) and regional employment offices (AJOFM) in Romania and Moldova have published extensive lists of vacant positions. In Romania, the Bistrița‑Năsăud office posted 353 local jobs and 129 opportunities abroad through the EURES network, while the Mureș office listed 922 vacancies and the Olt county office helped 1,259 job‑seekers find employment in the first half of 2026. Nationwide, 28,777 vacant posts were recorded, with the most openings for drivers, couriers, retail workers and unskilled construction labour. In Moldova, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection announced that 14,049 individuals were assisted in finding work during the first months of 2026, including 4,248 unemployed persons. Free qualification courses were also organized, with 106 training programmes slated for 1,726 participants across the country. These measures target a broad range of job‑seekers, from recent graduates to older workers, and aim to reduce unemployment rates that remain below 3 % in several Romanian counties.
