Romanian experts advise on summer hair care and heatstroke prevention

Hair specialists at Jovsky Studio explain that summer exposure to sun, salt water and chlorine can weaken hair, especially when combined with habits such as tying wet hair tightly or using harsh towels. They recommend rinsing hair with fresh water after swimming, using gentle drying techniques, applying UV‑protective sprays before beach or pool visits, and adjusting hair‑care routines to the higher heat and humidity of the season.

Medical professionals warn that prolonged exposure to high temperatures can lead to insolation and, in severe cases, heat‑stroke. Risk factors include inadequate hydration, inappropriate clothing, alcohol consumption, and certain medical conditions. Early symptoms are headache, nausea, dizziness, rapid weak pulse and elevated body temperature. Prevention measures stress staying hydrated, wearing light clothing, avoiding the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and seeking medical help if symptoms persist or worsen.
