In a separate incident, a drone entered Romanian airspace through northern Botoșani county and remained for approximately four minutes before crashing in a forested area near Solca, Suceava county. In response, two Romanian F-16 aircraft were scrambled from Borcea Air Base. Authorities issued RO-Alert messages to residents in Botoșani, Suceava, and Tulcea counties, advising them to seek shelter.

Local authorities in Suceava suspended classes in four communes—Solca, Arbore, Botoșana, and Cacica—as a precaution. The Ministry of National Defence confirmed that the small drone crash caused no casualties or material damage. Meanwhile, in Moldova, defense officials noted a significant increase in unauthorized airspace violations involving drones and missiles throughout 2026.
