Romanian Fashion Week concludes with record number of designers

Romanian Fashion Week (RFW) concluded its RCW X Bucharest 2026 edition with a record-breaking showcase of 28 designers. The event, held at the TVR studios, featured collections for the Spring-Summer 2027 season, bringing together both emerging 'New Wave' talent and established names in the 'Romanian Designers' section.

Curated by Ovidiu Buta, the final evening focused on themes of femininity, identity, and creative freedom. The event received high-level support, including participation from First Lady Mirabela Grădinaru. Founder Irina Schrotter emphasized the importance of intergenerational circulation within the industry, noting that the record number of participants confirms the growth of the Romanian fashion scene over the last three decades.

Additionally, the Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week SS’27 is scheduled to take place from October 13 to 17. This upcoming edition aims to expand the fashion experience through the integration of art, performance, and professional dialogue, featuring designers from Romania as well as international participants from Italy, Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, and Kazakhstan.
