Romanian father dies of heart attack while rushing to daughter's crash
Gheorghe, a 45‑year‑old man from the village of Vasile Alecsandri in Galaţi County, Romania, suffered a fatal heart attack while driving with his wife to the scene of his daughter's minor road collision. The family had been alerted that their daughter was involved in a low‑impact crash near Şendreni on the DN25. Gheorghe managed to pull his car safely to the roadside, preventing another collision, before losing consciousness.
Passers‑by and a nearby ambulance crew assisted, performing CPR for about 50 minutes, but Gheorghe could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene. His daughter escaped serious injury. The body was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for a post‑mortem examination, and police continue to investigate the circumstances of his death. Traffic was briefly disrupted while the incident was cleared.
