Alpin Film Festival returns to Brașov and surrounding mountain towns
The Alpin Film Festival returns to Brașov, Râșnov, and Bușteni from September 21 to 27, 2026. The event features over 40 mountain documentaries from more than 18 countries, including award-winning titles from major international festivals such as Cannes, IDFA, and Banff.
Key international screenings include the Australian production ‘Iron Winter’, the Banff Grand Prize winner, and the highly acclaimed French nature documentary ‘Le Chant des forêts’ by Vincent Munier. The festival also hosts a Romanian mountain film competition showcasing local productions from the last two years.
In other regional film activities, Cluj-Napoca will host a free screening of ‘Povești la râu’, a documentary exploring the Someș River, while Happy Cinema in Buzău is offering discounted tickets for National Cinema Day celebrations.
