Romanian football stadiums receive updates on accreditation and pitch repairs

The Petre Libardi Stadium in Petroșani has officially received accreditation to host matches for the Romanian Superliga. Following an inspection by representatives from the Romanian Football Federation (FRF), the Professional Football League (LPF), and local emergency and security services, the facility met the necessary safety and infrastructure standards. The stadium is expected to host home matches for Corvinul Hunedoara.

In Ploiești, officials are addressing pitch issues at the Ilie Oană Stadium. Following a notification from the Professional Football League regarding the condition of the grass, work has begun to replace parts of the playing surface. Mayor Mihai Polițeanu noted that while installation may finish next week, specialists suggest the pitch requires approximately six weeks of rest to settle properly. As a result, Petrolul Ploiești may need to play home matches at alternative venues, such as Târgoviște, during the maintenance period.
