Romanian and Moldovan graduates must register for benefits within 60 days

Graduates in Romania and Moldova are required to register as job‑seekers with the national employment agencies within 60 days of completing their studies, according to a recent ANOFM communication. Registration makes them eligible for free professional counseling, job‑mediation, training courses and employment‑stimulating measures.

Those who register can claim unemployment allowance equal to 50 % of the current Indicator of Social Reference (ISR) for up to six months. In addition, graduates aged 16 or older who sign full‑time contracts of at least 12 months within the 60‑day window receive an insertion bonus of three times the ISR – 1,980 lei at the present rate. Applicants must provide an identity document, diploma or certificate, CV, health declaration and consent for data use. Refusal of a suitable job or of the offered services disqualifies claimants from the allowance.
