Romanian Handball Federation expands TV rights with Digi Sport

The Romanian Handball Federation has reached an agreement with Digi Sport to expand the media coverage of domestic handball competitions. This partnership complements the existing broadcasting agreement with TVR, providing fans with greater access to both the men's and women's national leagues.

The contract is valid for a single competitive season, with both parties set to renegotiate terms next summer. Under the agreement, Digi Sport will broadcast one or two matches per week from the Liga Florilor, depending on the importance of the points at stake and production logistics. The channel will also broadcast men's league matches as scheduling permits.

In terms of selection, Digi Sport will utilize options 3 and 4 in the match selection grid, meaning they will choose their featured matches only after TVR has established its primary options for each round. The new broadcasts are set to debut this week, with the first live match featuring Corona Brașov against Rapid București.
